Kalamkari is an early Indian block printing art form using only natural vegetable colors or dyes. It is more laborious than most other hand block printing techniques as it takes multiple steps to dye the fabric. This dress was printed by hand using carved wood blocks dipped in natural pigments. Beautiful contrast print on waistband, collar and sleeves. This dress has an adjustable drawstring waist to make for an easy fit for many sizes.
